John Heneghan (retired member of An Garda Siochana),
The Walk, Roscommon Town and formerly of Trien, Tourmakeady, Co. Mayo (January 9th, 2023) – peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a short illness.
Devoted husband of Peggy and much loved Dad to Helen, Aidan, Ciaran, Deirdre and Claire.
He will be very sadly missed by his family, brother Joe, sisters Mary Murphy and Noreen Hynes, sons-in-law Ger Dowd, Paul Curtis and Adrian Queeney, daughters-in-law Mary Grehan and Kathryn O’Hara, grandchildren Shane, Ronan, Ciara, Caoimhe, Jack, Katie, Eoin, Conor, Dara, Sarah, Ella, Emma, James and Lily-Mae, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, former colleagues, neighbours and friends. John in predeceased by his parents Martin and Kate.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Tuesday from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock.
Removal from his home on Wednesday morning at 10.30 o’clock arriving to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o’clock.
Burial afterwards in St. Coman’s Cemetery.
Those attending the funeral are asked to please be mindful of the current concerns regarding Covid and the Flu Virus.
