Christina Engel nee Killeen,

Pound Road, Castlebar and formerly of Ballyglass, Claremorris; Ballinrobe and Wellington, New Zealand.

Christina sadly passed away after a short illness at Mayo University Hospital.

She was predeceased by her husband Colin and grandson baby Zak.

She will be greatly missed by her loving children Garret and Olivia, son- in-law Helder, granddaughters Charlotte and Camille.

Also by her sisters Maeve, Olive, Cathy, Una and Lucia, brothers Tommy and Danny, nephews, nieces and extended family.

She was much loved by her friends and colleagues throughout the world especially in New Zealand and in the NUIG Midwifery Department where she dedicated much of her career teaching and sharing her vast knowledge and love of midwifery and practicing as a homebirth midwife.

Respects can be paid at her home in Castlebar (F23CF98) on Wednesday evening from 4 o’clock until 7 o’clock.

Funeral Mass in the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace and St. Gerald, Mayo Abbey (F12 X8P55) on Thursday at 12 noon followed by burial in the local Cemetery.
