Gertie Lowther,

Barrett Street and late of Rathglass West, Knockanillaun, Ballina - peacefully in the loving care of the staff of the Riverview Nursing Home, Ballina in her 93rd year - surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents and siblings.  

Deeply regretted and dearly missed by her loving sisters Imelda, Eileen, Sr. Eithne and Frances, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law.

Gertie, beloved aunt of Catriona and Sinéad, adored grandaunt of Gary, Oisín, Alex, Rowan, Éabha, Jude and Harry, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at McGowan's Funeral Home, Ballina on Thursday morning from 10 o’clock with removal at 11 o’clock to St. Muredach's Cathedral, Ballina arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 11.30 with the funeral proceeding to Lisheen Cemetery.

Funeral mass will be live streamed on ballinaparish.org

In keeping with current government advice and HSE guidelines regarding public gatherings, the funeral mass can proceed with 50% capacity. Please ensure all hand sanitizing and social distancing guidelines are respected. Also, please refrain from handshaking in the funeral home, at the church, during the funeral mass and at the cemetery. Face masks are required at all times.
