Patrick Geraghty (better known as Paddy),
Mullaghroe North, Clogher, Belmullet, Co. Mayo and formerly of Reading, England - tragically on 4th December 2021.
Predeceased by his parents Patsy and Margaret, brothers Harry, John, Michael and infant brother Stephen.
Fondly remembered by his beloved wife of 54 years, Ellie (née Gaughan), his son P.J. and daughter Annette.
He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, daughter-in-law Amanda and son-in-law Patrick Lally, his adored grandchildren Ciara, Mary Ellen, Luke and Conor, sisters Mary Ruddy (Crossmolina), Ann Holahan (St. Albans, England), Rose Wilson (Emlycass, Belmullet) and Margaret Sweeney (Attycunnane, Belmullet), brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, wonderful neighbours and many friends.
May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.
Remains will repose at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Wednesday evening from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock with funeral arriving at St. Brendan’s Church, Tiranne at 8.30.
Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday at 1 o’clock followed by burial in Faulmore Cemetery.
Live streaming of the Funeral Mass is available for viewing on McDonnell's Funeral Director's Facebook page at 1 o’clock on Thursday with all other funeral services available for viewing after 9pm on Thursday evening.
The Geraghty Family Home will remain private to family, neighbours and close friends.
Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to be made online to “Inis Aoibhinn” via the donation section of the Cancer Care West website.
In keeping with current Government advice and H.S.E. guidelines regarding public gatherings, please ensure social distancing is being respected, face coverings are worn, also please refrain from handshaking in the Funeral Home, outside the Church, inside the church during the reception on Wednesday evening and during Funeral Mass on Thursday and at the cemetery. The Geraghty family appreciate your understanding at this difficult time.
