Seaside, Belmullet and formerly of Church Road, Belmullet, Co. Mayo - peacefully at the Mayo Hospice, Castlebar on 11th July 2021.
Predeceased by his parents Pat and Mary, sisters Bridget, Kathleen and Nora and brothers Michael, Vincent and Con.
He will be sadly missed by his family, Mary Jo (Essex, England), Rose Ann (Essex, England), Paddy (Hartlepool, England), Martha (Surrey, England), Rita (Cork), Evelyn (Corclough East, Belmullet), Christina (Claremorris) and Irene (Saleen Harbour, Binghamstown, Belmullet), brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Remains will depart from John’s home at Seaside, Belmullet on Monday at 8.15pm and travel via Church Road, Belmullet arriving at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Belmullet at 9 o’clock.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12 o’clock followed by burial in Emlybeg Cemetery.
Live streaming of the Funeral Mass will be available for viewing on Tuesday at 12 noon on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook Page, with all funeral services available for viewing on Tuesday evening at 8 o’clock.
In keeping with current Government advice and H.S.E. guidelines regarding public gatherings, John’s funeral will be private for family, close friends and neighbours with a maximum of fifty people permitted at Funeral Mass and all funeral services. The family appreciate your understanding at this difficult time.
Memorial Mass for the soul of John will be held at a later date. For those who cannot attend due to restrictions, please leave a personal message for the family on the condolences section on the Midwest Death Notice's condolence form on this web page.
