US special envoy

  • Mick Mulvaney has been appointed as the new US special envoy to Northern Ireland.


    He's been replaced as acting chief of staff, a role he's held since the end of 2018.


    Mr Mulvaney, who has links to Co. Mayo, will be replaced by congressman Mark Meadows.
