Mayo v New York

  • Mayo GAA confirmed how tickets for Mayo v New York would be allocated to clubs at last night’s County Board meeting.

    Senior Clubs will receive 10 tickets, Intermediate clubs 8 tickets and Junior clubs 6.

    Mayo begin their Connacht championship campaign with a trip to Gaelic Park to face New York on Sunday at 2.15pm  local time.

    Following a win over Kerry in the league final Mayo now turn their attention to the Connacht championship, a competition they have not won since 2015. With that in made the Mayo team named shows two changes from that final win over Kerry. Into the team comes James McCormack & Evan Regan with Donal Vaughan & Diarmuid O'Connor both missing out. In all there are 3 championship debuts, James McCormack, Matthew Ruane & James Carr. All 3 players were involved throughout the league. The winners of this game will play either Roscommon or Leitrim in Connacht semi-final on May 25th.

  • A package is available from a number of Irish bars based in New York for tickets and transportation to the game.

    A number of bars, including the Irish Pub on 7th Avenue have teamed up to offer tickets and transportation to and from Gaelic Park for $100.

    People wishing to avail of this can contact Sean Feeney on 087-6838484 and the tickets can then be collected at the Irish Pub on the weekend of the game.
