  • The Mayo hurlers are going in search of a place in the Nicky Rackard Cup final on Saturday afternoon when they take on Leitrim.


    Derek Walsh’s side have been very impressive  throughout the competition and welcome Leitrim to MacHale Park on Saturday.


    The game gets underway at 1.30pm and will be live on Midwest Radio Sport with John Lynch and Frank Browne on commentary.

  • Westport & Tooreen will contest the Mayo U21 Hurling final tomorrow afternoon.

    The game will get underway at 4pm in Ballyvary.

  • Tooreen were crowned Mayo Senior Hurling champions today after they defeated a defiant Castlebar Mitchels challenge by two points.

    It finished in Machale Park Tooreen 0-18 to 1-13 Castlebar Mitchels.

    Tooreen now go on to play Four Roads in the Connacht Intermediate Championship. 

  • Tooreen captured the Mayo U21 Hurling title today after a 3-19 to 1-11 win over Westport.

    Tooreen were in control throughout and led by nine points at half-time.

  • In the West Mayo U14 A Championship last night Westport defeated Parke/Keelogues/Crimlin 4-07 to 1-07.

    There is Under 15 league action in Mayo this evening with games getting underway at 7pm.

    Tooreen overcame Caiseal Gaels last night 0-12 to 0-08 in the U16 Hurling Championship.

    Meanwhile round 3 of the Mayo Senior Hurling Championship takes place tomorrow evening at Adrian Freeman Memorial Park.

    Tooreen host Castlebar Mitchels at 6.45pm.
