  • Celebrations are underway in Ballinrobe after a local newsagents sold the winning ticket in last night's Lotto draw - worth over €2.8 million.

    Midwest News can reveal that the lucky ticket was purchased at Martin Murphy Newsagents on Main Street in the town.

    This is the 59th Lotto jackpot to be won in Co Mayo since the start of the Lotto game in 1988 - with the jackpots totalling over €106 million.

    The winning numbers in last night's Lotto draw are 3, 8, 21, 34, 37, 47 and bonus number 16.

    Newsagents owner Martin Murphy told Midwest News that it was a multidraw ticket, and says it's great news for the local area.....

  • The National Lottery is expected to announce further details later of where the winning ticket was sold for Saturday night's jackpot of over €7.3 million, after it was confirmed yesterday that the jackpot was won in Co Galway.

    The winning numbers on Saturday night were 3, 7, 18, 36, 40, 42 and the bonus number  16.

    This is the eighth jackpot win so far this year, and the 96th Lotto jackpot to be won in Co Galway since the game began in 1988.

     

     

  • A Galway man has claimed last weekend's Lotto jackpot of over €4 million euro.

    The winner collected his cheque at National Lottery offices yesterday, after winning last Saturday night's draw.

    He found out at 1.30 am Sunday morning that he had won, after checking his ticket online, and said he couldn't sleep a wink afterwards.

    He bought the lucky ticket in Joyce's Supermarket in Doughiska, Galway.

     

     

  • The lucky holder of a Lotto ticket, which was bought in Co Galway at the weekend and is worth over €8.5 million, has made contact with the National Lottery offices.

    The winning ticket in last Saturday night’s Lotto draw was sold at the Corrib Oil Service Station at the Hill in Loughrea, Co Galway.

    A spokesperson for the National Lottery has now confirmed to Midwest News that the lucky ticket holder has made contact with them and the ticket has been verified.

    Arrangements are now being made to collect the massive prize.

     

     

  • There was Lotto luck for one player in Co Roscommon over the weekend.

    While there was no winner of the overall jackpot of over €4.4 million on Saturday night, one player matched 5 numbers plus the bonus, to win a prize of over €339,000.

    The winning ticket was sold in Kelly's Londis store on Bridge Street in Boyle.

    The National Lottery is urging people in the area to check their tickets.

    This was the second lotto win in Co Roscommon in the past two weeks - on 7th October, a Euromillions ticket sold in Ballyfarnon won €500,000.

     

  • The winner of last week's midweek Lotto jackpot of over €2.8 million has made contact with the National Lottery.

    The winning ticket was sold in Martin Murphy's Newsagents in Ballinrobe, amd is worth 2 million, 824 thousand, 437 euro.

    This evening, a National Lottery spokesperson confirmed to Midwest News that they have been contacted by the lucky ticketholder, and arrangements are now being made to pay out the cheque.

    No further details of the winner have been provided.

    This was the 3rd Lotto jackpot winning ticket sold at Martin Murphy's newsagents, and the 59th Lotto jackpot won in Co Mayo since the game started in 1988.
