    The closing date for the Business with Irish Awards 2018 is fast approaching and ahead of the deadline, we chatted to Suzanne Kilkenny of the renowned Guna Nua Boutique who told us how she integrates Irish into her business day and why the Business with Irish Awards meant so much to her enterprise.

    Gnó Mhaigh Eo is now accepting applications for the Business with Irish Awards 2018. Do you know a business who uses the Irish Language or would like to develop an Irish Language plan? Why not nominate them for a Business with Irish Award 2018.

  • A new initiative which will see pupils in St Muredach’s College, Ballina and St Coman’s Wood PS, Roscommon learn the Irish language during PE

     

    It is part of a new pilot being rolled out to 19 Primary and Secondary schools nationwide in an integrated learning scheme for the next three years.

     

    A range of ages will be involved in the pilot, including junior and senior infants, along with pupils in 5th and 6th class.

     

    Only first years will take part in the chosen secondary schools.
