• Ballinrobe will open its doors for the first time this year this evening, where a seven-race card kicks off with the BetVictor Mares Maiden Hurdle at 4.50.

Champion trainer Willie Mullins looks to hold the key with the Paul Townend-ridden Andalusa, likely to go off a short price.

Mullins has strong claims in the following Mulholland Bookmakers (C & G) Maiden Hurdle (5.25) as well, with Defy Du Mee and Kolumbus leading the charge.

One of the more interesting races of the evening is the McGrath Limestone Works Handicap Hurdle (6.00) where Mullins again has strong claims with La Sorelita.

With the first off at 4.50, the ground at Ballinrobe is yielding.

  • Racing resumes behind closed doors today at Ballinrobe racecourse, where the first of an 8-race card gets underway at 4.45.

It's the first of two days of action in Ballinrobe this week, with another meeting taking place on Wednesday.

This marks the start of the resumption of racing at the south Mayo track following the Covid-19 lockdowon.
