  • GMIT Mayo is opening its doors to the public on Tuesday next, 6 November (10am – 1pm) for an Open Morning for secondary school students, parents and anyone interested in starting or returning to third-level study as a mature student.

    As a special feature this year, staff are running a Graduate Careers Fair on the same day. A wide variety of employers, professional bodies and recruitment companies will available to discuss career options for graduates. Information stands and an expo will take place in St Mary’s Hall on campus.


    Michael Gill, Head of Dept, says: “This event represents a wonderful opportunity to discover and find out more about the different options that are available on your doorstep in terms of higher education".

    GMIT Mayo’s Access Officer, counsellor, chaplain and other staff will be available to answer any questions visitors may have about GMIT’s access and disability service, scholarships, financial supports, medical and student service and many more.
