  • Chris Ashton is back for Sale's European Challenge Cup clash with Connacht this Saturday.

    The England back has returned to the Sharks' squad after serving a seven week suspension.

    Sale's U-S-A international out-half A-J MacGinty will miss the visit of his former side, he's been ruled out until the New Year with a shoulder injury.

  • Connacht can reach the European Challenge Cup semi finals for the first time in nine years tonight.

    The Westerners take on Sale Sharks in Manchester.

    Irish internationals Bundee Aki, Jack Carty and Kieran Marmion will all start.

    The game kicks off at 7.45pm.

  • Connacht are boosted by the return of Irish internationals Bundee Aki, Finlay Bealham and Quinn Roux for the European Challenge Cup clash with Perpignan in The Sportsground on Saturday.

    Aki forms a midfield partnership with 22 year old Academy player Kieran Joyce who is set to make his debut.

    Bealham returns to the front row sees him line up alongside hooker Dave Heffernan who captains the side and loosehead Peter McCabe.

    Second row Joe Maksymiw comes in for his first start alongside Quinn Roux.


    Paddy Jackson will be making a sooner-than-expected return to Irish shores.

    His new side Perpignan have been drawn in the same European Challenge Cup pool as Connacht.

    Joining them in a tough Pool 3 will be Sale and Bordeaux-Begles.
