  • The Super League game between Westport United and Ballina Town which was scheduled for Sunday has been postponed due to the involvement of United players in the Interprovincial  Ward Cup.

    The crunch Elverys Sports Super League Relegation Play-Off between Ballyhaunis Town and Straide & Foxford United will take place in Solar 21 Park on Sunday at 2pm.

    Elsewhere, the semi-finals of the Calor Gas Premier Cup are penciled in for Sunday morning.

    Kiltimagh Knock Utd host Fahy Rovers while Conn Rangers welcome Westport Utd. B.

    Both games kick off at 11am.

  • Ballyhaunis Town and Straide and Foxford United go head to head in the Elvery’s Sports Super League relegation play-off this weekend.

     

    The teams were tied at the bottom of the league at the end of the season and so must play off under Mayo Football League rules.

     

    Kickoff in Solar 21 Park is at 2pm on Sunday.

     

    Ballyhaunis Town manager Tommy Page told Midwest Radio that the game is like a Cup Final.

  • Both Super League match scheduled for tomorrow evening have been postponed as a result of Mayo’s involvement in the Connacht/Ulster trials on Friday.

    Castlebar Celtic’s clash with Ballyhaunis Town and the meeting of Manulla and Ballyheane have both been called off.

    Meanwhile, the three Premier League games go ahead as planned tomorrow evening at 7pm.

    Ballyglass B host Wesport Utd B in League One, while in League Two Ballina United entertain Newport/Mulranny Wanderers at 7pm.

  • There are two games in the Elverys Sports Super League tonight.

    It’s second against fourth when Westport United host Manulla.

    Westport need to win to remain in touching distance of Castlebar Celtic at the top of the table.

    Celtic are also in action tonight and face 7th placed Ballyheane who are fighting off relegation.

    However, having won the Connacht Youth Cup recently Ballyheane will be brimming with confidence when they take to Celtic Park tonight.

    Celtic manager Michael McNicholas has been telling Midwest Sport that he knows it’s going to be another tough contest tonight.
