Conor Lane

  • Cork’s Conor Lane has been confirmed as referee for the Connacht senior football championship clash of Mayo and Galway in Castlebar on Sunday week 13th May.

    Conor Lane was the man in charge during the All-Ireland final between Mayo and Dublin last September.

    Meanwhile, Mayo manager Stephen Rochford confirmed to Midwest Sport yesterday that Cillian O’Connor will captain the Mayo team again this season, for the third successive year.

     Conor lane will referee the All-Ireland semi-final meeting of Mayo and Dublin at 5pm this Saturday.

     

    The Cork man will be the man in the middle in charge of the first meeting of the two teams since the 2017 final.

     

    Maurice Deegan is in charge of the Kerry and Tyrone semi-final on Sunday as the championship nears its’ conclusion.

     

    The Mayo match is part of a super Saturday of sport on Midwest Radio Sport, with the Mayo Ladies quarter final, the Mayo minor’s semi-final and the senior game, all being broadcast live.

    1pm - Mayo v Armagh ladies - Benny O'Brien & Diane O'Hara

     

    3pm - Mayo v Cork minors - Tom Carney & Declan O'Reilly

     

    5pm - Mayo v Dublin seniors - Michael D McAndrew & Martin Carney
