• The 2019 Stena Line Dublin Horse Show gets underway today (Wednesday) at the RDS in Ballsbridge, with five days of top class equestrian action featuring many of the world’s top horses and riders.

    Highlights in the main arena on the opening day include the Speed Stakes, Minerva Stakes and the Sport Ireland Classic, while three more international competitions are up for grabs on Thursday.

    Once again this year, several Young Horse competitions at the Dublin Horse Show are sponsored by Horse Sport Ireland, with new Show Jumping champions set to be crowned in four, five and six-year-old age categories.

    The four-year-old Young Event Horse competition and three-year-old loose Show Jumping performance class at the RDS are also sponsored by Horse Sport Ireland.

    Its 18 years today since the 22 year old went missing after a Christmas party in Ballsbridge in Dublin.

    There has been no trace of his whereabouts since, despite renewed appeals, a large reward for information and a major new search earlier this year.
