  • Ballintubber and Corofin will meet again in this year’s Connacht Club Championship following the Mayo side’s five point win over Glencar Manorhamilton.

The Mayo Champions were in control in the second half but at the break only led by a point.

A well worked Ballintubber goal at the start of the second half finished by Alan Plunkett put them firmly in the driving seat.

A big turning point six minutes in to the second half was the sending off of Killian McGriskin for a second bookable offence following a hefty challenge on Michael Plunkett.

The Mayo Champions won out 1-11 to 0-09.

Ballintubber will now march on to meet Corfin next Sunday in Tuam.

Corofin defeated Tuam Stars 0-11 to 0-08 in the Galway County Final replay today.
