Mayo’s handballers contested five Connacht Finals last night at various venues with contrasting outcomes.

Belcarra’s Claire Reynolds lost out in the Ladies Minor Singles decider to Galway's Niamh Heffernan while Martin McAndrew and Tommie Harrington of Mayo also lost out in their provincial finals to Galway and Sligo opposition.

Mayo’s Jonathan Conroy claimed the Junior B singles title with a hard-fought 21-15, 21-20 victory over John Lawlor of Galway while Ballaghaderreen’s Joe McCann had an expected win over Ollie Conway on a 21-13, 21-6 scoreline in the Over 35 A Final

Michael Ginley  has a fine 21-11, 21-12 victory over Michael Tormey from Boyle in the Silver Masters A Singles Final at Collooney last night.

Mayo’s Lorcan Conlon and Kevin Geraghty are in action today in further finals at Lisacul while Seamus Hughes and Pat Hayes line out for Mayo on Sunday at Curraghboy.
