Sligo Rovers's players have given up a portion of their wages following their recent exit from the FAI Cup.

The decision to return part of their wages to the club was made following a meeting between first team players, which took place after Saturday's surprise defeat to Longford Town in the first round, knocking them out of the competition at the first hurdle, for the second year running.

Sligo's vice-captain Rhys McCabe says the squad feel they've let down their supporters and manager Gerard Lyttle.
