The Irish Tarmac Junior Rally Championship is down to two drivers with Meath’s Jenna McCann holding a three point advantage going into this weekend’s final round ahead of Headford’s Justin Ryan. Although out of the overall running, Cork’s Eric Calnan has the potential to be kingmaker as he won the junior category last year and by taking maximum points at this weekend’s Cork 20 International Rally, could swing the title McCann’s way if both she and Ryan finish. Both drivers have to drop their worst score which in both cases is ten points so no doubt the margins will be very tight.

The two day event begins from Macroom on Saturday morning with the first stage underway just after 9.30am. Day 2 has stages in the Millstreet area and the rally looks like being one of the toughest events of the year. By Sunday evening we will know if Justin has done enough to bring the title west.

Killian Duffy and Andy Walsh will be providing their usual Facebook Live video interviews from the end of the stages during the weekend so to keep up to-date with all the excitement from this year’s Cork 20 International Rally, simply log onto the ‘OnThePaceNote’ Facebook page.
