A Quarter of a million ESB customers nationally without a supply today

Almost a quarter of a million ESB Customers nationally remain without electricity today following yesterday’s damage by Hurricane Orphelia.
While there are only a handful of outages in county Mayo, considerably more people have been affected across county Galway – Tuam, Athenry, Ballina sloe and Woodford among the areas worst affected.
Donal Herraghty is Storm Manager for the Athlone area with ESB Network. He is asking any customer without a supply today, or if anyone notices any problem with loose lines to report it to the ESB on 1850 372 999.
Donal has been telling Midwest news toady about the problems across the west today and the ESB’s attempts to restore supply to as many people as possible, as soon as possible.
