Lotto players from Mayo and Galway collected cheques from the National Lottery headquarters in Dublin last Thursday.

A delighted Mayo woman collected a cheque for 500,000 euro which she won on the Euromillions Plus draw last Tuesday night.

She bought her winning Quick Pick ticket in Walsh’s Centra Store in Kilmaine.

And a married couple from Co Galway claimed their Lotto Plus 1 top prize of half a million euro, which they won on Wednesday 27^th September.

The couple bought their Quick Pick ticket at News & Views newsagents in Gort, and revealed they plan to assist local charities with their winnings.

The couple have pledged to make donations to the Galway Hospice and Cancer Care West.
