Mayo County Council to Secure Derelict Problematic Site in Bowgate St., Ballinrobe

Two fires have occurred recently at a vacant and derelict site in the centre of Ballinrobe. The relatively new development at Bowgate street, is a magnet for anti social gatherings and Ballinrobe based councillor Damien Ryan has again called on Mayo county council to secure the property, to prevent public access.
At the October monthly meeting of Claremorris Municipal District council management confirmed that the site will be secured with a few weeks.
Cllr Ryan told Midwest News that this is welcome news.
