A status yellow high temperature warning has been issued for a number of western and southern counties tomorrow.

Met Eireann says it applies to counties Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick.

The warning is valid from 1 pm tomorrow (Thurs)  afternoon until 7pm.

Forecaster John Eagleton says temperatures could exceed 27 degrees.
