Castlebar author Sally Rooney has been shortlisted for the 2019 International Dublin Literary Award.
Her debut novel "Conversations with Friends" has made the 10-strong shortlist for the €100,000 prize - which is the world's most lucrative literary prize for a single novel published in English.
Bernard MacLaverty is the only other Irish author nominated for the award.
The shortlist, which was nominated by libraries around the world, also includes novels from France, the UK, the US and Pakistan.
"Conversations with Friends" was Sally Rooney's debut novel in 2017.
She followed it up last year the "Normal People" which won a number of awards and was longlisted for the Man Booker prize.
Last year's International Dublin Literary Award was won by another Mayo author - Louisburg native Mike McCormack for his novel "Solar Bones".
