It's disappointing that Swinford and Kiltimagh have been excluded from the new Go Bus schedule due to commence on the 1st April.
That's according to Tom Lavin, a FG local election candidate in the Swinford electoral area.
He says the new Go Bus service will travel from Ballina through Foxford, Ballyvary, Castlebar and Claremorris onto Galway.
Mr Lavin says it's disappointing that the new route does not include Swinford and Kiltimagh.
The old Bus Eireann route 52 did provide a direct route from these towns to Galway, but now commuters from Swinford and Kiltimagh travelling to Galway take the route 421 to Claremorris and have to change buses there.
He believes the National Transport Authority should address the issue.
