A Castlebar Councillor has called for sheltered areas and lighting to be installed around Lough Lannagh.
Cllr Cyril Burke made the call following a walk in memory of the late Brendan Heneghan, a former town councillor.
Cllr Burke says there were showers on the day and he took note that there weren’t sheltered spots. He says there is also no lighting from the cemetery right up to Lough Lannagh.
He says it is important this situation is addressed so that Lough Lannagh can be utilised to its maximum potential.
