Students and staff were evacuated from St Nathy's College in Ballaghadereen this morning following a bomb scare.

It's understood a call was made claiming there was a device left on the premises.

Gardai attended the scene and nothing was found during a thorough search of the school.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed to Midwest News that the incident was resolved before 11am and no-one was injured.

St Nathy's College is remaining closed for today, and is expected to issue a statement this afternoon.
