A Roscommon Senator is calling for increased train services on the Dublin-Westport line - in particular a later evening service.

Fine Gael Senator Maura Hopkins says the last train leaving Dublin for Westport each evening is at 6.15pm, which can pose a problem for people commuting to Dublin for work.

She's comparing this service with the Cork route, where the last train leaving Heuston Station for Cork is 9pm at night.
