It's a very wet and windy morning across the West, with a status yellow rainfall warning remaining in place until 2pm this afternoon, and a status yellow wind warning for western coastal counties until 3pm today.

AA Roadwatch is advising motorists to slow down on wet roads, and leave plenty of space between your vehicle and the one in front.

Motorists should also watch out for wind-blown debris on roads, and take extra care around pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists.

Met Eireann is warning of southeasterly winds strengthening this morning with gusts of up to 110 km/h - winds will be strongest along exposed coasts where a few higher gusts are possible.
