Householders and businesses in parts of Swinford are without a water supply this morning.
Midwest News contacted Irish Water to ask what was causing the disruption to the supply.
In a statement Irish Water says, working in partnership with Mayo County Council, it is working to locate what appears to be a significant burst in the Swinford area.
“Once the burst is located and assessed a timeframe will be put in place for repairs to be completed.
Customers with queries should keep an eye on water.ie supply and services section for further updates.
