LEADER funding of €143,000 has been confirmed for four initiatives in Mayo today by Minister for Rural and Community Development Michael Ring.

Just over €70,000 has been approved for Paul Mullins in Claremorris for the expansion of a bale processing business.

€38,961 has been approved for Claremorris Community Radio to acquire a new broadcast centre and purchase equipment for it.

€23,983 has been allocated to Ballina Salmon Festival to provide equipment for the successful running and delivery of the 10 day long festival, while €10,655 has been allocated to Charlestown and District Development Association to acquire materials and equipment both maintenance and IT to support Tidy Towns projects to be undertaken in Charlestown during the year.
