An Irish-owned pharmaceutical company has announced it's creating 350 jobs over the next 5 years in Co Galway.
The Chanelle Group, founded by Galway vet Michael Burke in the 1980's, makes both animal health products and human medicines.
Tánaiste Simon Coveney was in Loughrea this morning to officially open a new €10 million euro facility for the manufacure of a product used globally to protect cats and dogs against harmful parasites.
Further construction will begin next year on a facility for medicinal products for the US market.
The company is investing a total of €86 million in the facility over the next 5 years, with the creation of 350 jobs in all.
Founder of the Chanelle Group Michael Burke told Midwest News that the company currently has over 90 vacancies.
