Female entrepreneurs who are setting up a new business in a rural area are being encouraged to apply for a place on the ACORNS programme - which provides them with support and networking opportunities.

The programme involves successful female entrepreneurs providing a mentoring service to those starting out in business, and will run from October to next April.

The ACORNS programme is run by the Department of Agriculture under its Rural Innovation & Development Fund, and applications must be submitted by the closing date of 21st September.
