The by now famous Mayo jersey, that was signed by Pope Francis at Knock airport yesterday is to be homed in the aviation museum at the airport.
That was confirmed this morning by Audrey Eliot, the staff member at Ireland West Airport Knock who asked Pope Francis to put his signature on the jersey yesterday.
Ms. Eliot works in the marketing dept of IWAK and she told Midwest Radio today that she often asks famous people passing through the facility to sign a Mayo jersey – citing Noel Gallagher of Oasis and former Liverpool footballer Ian Rushe as recently having added their signatures to such memorabilia.
