A new recruitment campaign has been launched for 72 Irish language translator posts in the European Union.
Translators are required to work in the Institutions of the EU in both Brussels and Luxembourg.
The employment opportunities were announced at an event in Dublin yesterday evening, where Minister of State for the Irish language Joe McHugh said this is a great opportunity for those with an interest in a career in translation or for those with a high standard of Irish and would like to work abroad.
The competition is open to university graduates with an excellent command of Irish and a thorough knowledge of at least two other official EU languages including English, French or German.
