Ireland’s national maritime festival SeaFest attracted over 103,000 people to Galway Harbour over the 3-day weekend event, generating over €6.5 million for the city.
50,000 people attended the final day of SeaFest in Galway yesterday.
A world-record kitesurfer, kids crafts, cookery and kayaking were just some of the activities on offer at Ireland's largest maritime festival, which took place over the weekend in Galway city.
Visitors also enjoyed taking to the water in the hot weather, and organisers say there were 800 kayaking experiences and 500 people took part in sailing sessions and boat trips - all free of charge.
The festival was co-ordinated by the Marine Institute, working with a wide range of agencies and organisations.
