The funeral has taken place in Ballina of Jack Dodd, the young Mayo showjumper who died from injuries sustained in a road collision in Belgium.
A native of Coolcronan, Foxford, the 25-year old passed away in a Netherlands hospital last week.
Jack represented Ireland in showjumping from youth level up to senior level, winning the FEI European Championships in Italy as part of the Irish team in 2014.
In 2016, he earned a place in the prestigious International Young Riders Academy.
He set up his own business in Belgium, where he achieved success both in Young Horse events and in the top international classes in European show jumping.
Members of Horse Sport Ireland and the Irish and international equestrian community attended his funeral Mass this morning at St Patrick's Church, Ballina.
Jack's bridle, hat and gloves were among the items brought to the altar.
Celebrant Fr Liam Reilly described Jack as a great man, son, friend and sportsman.
The young showjumper was laid to rest at Leigue Cemetery in Ballina.
