The removal will take place this evening of former Mayor of Castlebar Brendan Henaghan who passed away on Tuesday.
The well-known businessman became ill at his home in Snugboro on Sunday night and passed away early on Tuesday morning at Mayo University Hospital.

A member of the local Fine Gael party, he served on Castlebar Town Council from 2003 to 2014, and served as Mayor of Castlebar for two terms.
Paying tribute to Mr Henaghan, Minister for Rural and Community Development Michael Ring said he extended his deepest sympathy to Brendan’s wife Patricia, to their three sons Tom, Colm and John and Brendan’s mother Carmel.
Minister Ring says Brendan was an ever present member of Castlebar Town Council and loyal stalwart of the Fine Gael party in Castlebar. Minister Ring said he considers himself fortunate to have been able to call Brendan a friend.
