The delay in An Bord Pleanala making a decision on allowing the realignment of Cloongullane bridge on the N26 Foxford to Swinford road is frustrating but may be worthwhile in the long run.
That’s the view of local Fine Gael councillor Neill Cruise. The cllr says while the delay is frustrating, the long term goal is to have a planning permission that will stand up legally and the additional information should enhance the application.
An Bord Pleanala announced this week, that the long awaited decision on the planning, will now be delayed until September next.
Speaking to Midwest News cllr Cruise said the delay could be termed “ a double edge sword”.
