Midwest Radio on 23 November 2013 broadcast a story concerning Dr Saeed Shoushi, who formerly worked in the Merlin Park Hospital, Galway. Midwest Radio acknowledges and accepts that it had no basis for the story, and that Dr Shoushi has never breached Irish dental regulations. It accepts that Dr Shoushi is a dentist of good standing and reputation. Midwest Radio apologises unreservedly for the distress the broadcast caused Dr Shoushi and his family.
