  • The draw for the next round of the Westaro Cup has been made.

    There are only five teams remaining so there is one match and three byes in the next stage.

    Ballina Town Vs Castlebar Celtic

    Ballyglass, Manulla and S & F Utd got byes to the semi finals

    The match will be played on Saturday 2nd or Sunday 3rd June.

  • There was a large turnout for the AGM of the Mayo Football League which was held at Solar 21 Park last night. The following members were elected to the LMC - Gerry Sweeney, Chairperson, Sean Molloy, Vice Chairperson, John Durkan, Secretary, Tom McDaniel, Treasurer, James Larkin, Asst Treasurer, Kieran Gallagher, PRO, Donal Benson, Martin Kielty and Seamus Hughes. The 2018 season kicks off on Sunday March 25th.

  • The Mayo League Football Show podcast which goes out weekly on the Mayo League Facebook page and on YouTube has been shortlisted for the FAI Best Digital Initiative Award.

    The video podcast features action from across all clubs in all divisions as well as post match interviews with managers and players.

    Since the project started in March of this year more than 260 goals have been featured as well as more than 60 interviews.

    More than 20 people from many of the county’s soccer clubs are involved in recording video, taking photos and compiling match reports.

    The Mayo League previously won this award in 2015 for the Mayo League App and are up against St. Mochtas FC, Dublin who have also previously won this award in 2016. Cork City FC won the award last year.

    The winner will be announced in Cork next Friday night.

    The opening round of the Mayo Super League takes place this weekend.


    The match between Kiltimagh/Knock United and Ballyheane which was scheduled for Sunday has been postponed due to a bereavement.
