  • Anthony Nolan from Wicklow has been appointed as the referee for Sunday’s final round of the football league between Mayo and Donegal.

    It’s a do-or-die clash for both sides with the losers dropping down a division for next season.

  • Roscommon defender David Murray has been cleared to play against Donegal in the Super 8s tomorrow.

    Murray was facing a one match suspension after picking up his third black card of the season against Tyrone last weekend.

    The card has been overturned following an appeal.

  • Donegal GAA has confirmed that Stephen Rochford is joining the senior football team’s backroom staff.

    In a statement this afternoon Donegal GAA says that Karl Lacey, Anthony McGrath and John McElhome are leaving the backroom team and former Mayo manager Stephen Rochford is joining Declan Bonner’s coaching staff for 2019 along with Aaron Kyles.

  • Donegal GAA are expected to confirm the appointment of former Mayo manager Stephen Rochford to the county senior set-up, according to Highland Radio. 

    Donegal boss Declan Bonner has moved quickly to replace Karl Lacey by bringing in Rochford as the new coach.

    Lacey stepped away after a year in the role, due to family commitments.

    Stephen Rochford stepped down as Mayo manager in August.
