  • Connacht full-back doubt for Challenge Cup Quarter Final next month

Connacht full-back Tiernan O'Halloran is a doubt for their Challenge Cup quarter-final next month after suffering a hamstring injury.

The Ireland international came off after just eight minutes of the Westerners win against the Ospreys last weekend and the province say he'll be sidelined for 'a few weeks'.

It also ends O'Halloran's chances of being called up to the Ireland squad for the rest of the Six Nations Championship.

They were 4-0 up after 56 minutes after early second half goals from Lee Toland and John O’Flynn, but Brendan Lavelle pulled one back for Mayo three minutes later.

They added a second in the 71st minute from Sean Morrissey and Brendan Lavelle added another goal in the 82nd minute.

However, despite great pressure play, the elusive fourth goal didn’t arrive.
